I have been teaching dance for 18 years and dancing for 30. I absolutely love all types of dance. It brings me such joy to share my passion for dance with others. I love helping students have fun while building strong technique and performance quality. I have an Elementary Education Degree with a Minor in Dance from the University of Arizona. I currently teach at a studio and Community College. Recently I choreographed the production of The Magic Treehouse in Peoria.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Before working with a student I enjoy finding out about their likes, favortie color etc... Then we discuss goals. After that we start with the basics and reach toward acheiving their goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an Elementary Education Degree and Minor in Dance.
I completed the 4 year Teacher Training School through Dance Masters of America.
I currently teach at studios.
I dance professionally with a Contemporary dance company.
How did you get started teaching?
When I was 16 I was asked to be a teacher assistant at the dance studio I was at. The summer of my Senior year I started teaching and haven't stopped since. I have taught at dance studios, a High School, a Middle School and an Elementary School.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students age 18 months-adult.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look at their qualifications.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
