I am a national swing dance and contemporary dance champion trained by Laurie Schwimmer (mother of Lacey and Benji Schwimmer both sytycd alumni. I was also trained in all styles of dance as well as choreography in swing and contemporary dance.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start with a quick 5-10 minute discussion with your goals for your time with me as well as your goals as a dancer then move into a quick inventory of what you know so that I can quickly and effectively help you reach your goals specific lessons are tailored to your goals
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been trained for 4 years under Laurie Schwimmer who is the mother and coach of Benji Schwimmer winner of so you think you can dance season 2 as well as Lacey Schwimmer a finalist in so you think you can dance and dancing with the stars I have also won the us open swing dance championships twice
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge 45 dollars per hour for private lessons 100 dollars per workshop and 150 per prechoreoged routine
How did you get started teaching?
I was trained to teach Latin, swing, and contemporary dance by Laurie Schwimmer
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of students from ages 6 to age 76 serious competitors to leisurely hobbieists single dancers to entire teams
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
the US Open is the world championships of swing dance my professional partner and I recently took home the title in cabaret division for our contemporary piece welcome home we also won the young adult division the year prior
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
When it comes to dance in general find a school or teacher that you trust and stick to it the won't point you in the wrong direction
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What does dancing mean to you? Why do you want to dance? Where do you want your dancing to take you?
