About
Over 40 years ago my father first taught me to cook sparking a passion that has led me through a myriad of professional and private cooking experience ranging from therapeutic residential settings to public cooking presentations to private tutoring classes. I specialize in downhome southern, southwestern, Italian and south of the border comfort foods with an emphasis on fresh, healthful, and economical solutions. From the most simple basics to exciting and delicious fusions I want to help you to find and explore your own cooking and eating passions.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to start with a brief chat over the phone to determine your exact needs, tastes and if desiring lessons, your skill level and what you would like to learn.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I typically charge 75 dollars + food costs for a 90 minute session, but offer special rates for seniors, groups and weekly sessions depending upon the services desired.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Cooking is more than a simple art, it's how we connect with and express love and caring with those close to us including our own selves. I would advise that you choose a teacher that exemplifies that belief. Be sure he or she has your wants and needs first and foremost in their bid and beware of those who believe in rigid structure and a single approach to food and cooking.
