What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will meet with the student for a short complimentary "meet & greet" sessioon and lesson to see if we are a "good fit". We will discuss neds and options for lessons.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was in the theatre for 30 years, many as a professional actor, dancer, singer. I have been teachiing since 1968. I have also had extensive training and experience in psychology, so I have a unique ability to understand a student's needs.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard pricing is $95 for an hour and a half, however, I am willing to consider other options.
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching jazz dance in 1968 in Chicago. I began teaching acting in 1979 when I moved to Phoenix, AZ.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
working with an adult on storytelling who was having difficulty "just telling" a story. I asked her to pretent she was sitting at the kitchen table with a friend, relating a story. She blossomed.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone you are comfotable with and can relate to, but who will push you to go farther than you think you can.
