Christopher Younggren’s Acting Academy

I have been a working actor from Los Angeles to New York City for over 25 years, in stage, film, voiceovers, and commercials. I also won the regional Irene Ryan regional Actiong Competition in the American College Theatre Featival, culminating in a performance at The Kennedy Centry in Washington, DC.

Locally, I have worked with almost every major theatre company in Tucson, including The Gaslight Theatre, The Rogue Theatre, The Invisible Theatre, Live Theatre Workshop, Arizona Rose Theatre, and Arts Express. I also was nominated for Best Supporting actor in 2016, best Actor in 2018, and received Best Actor in Tucson in 2017 in The Arizona Daily Star's Mac Awards. In addition, I have taught theatre history and acting for several years at California State University, Fullerton, as well as other area colleges in California. I have also taught with Drama Kids, International, an acting program for children which uses a wide range of unique activities to focus the bold, outspoken child and to draw out the quiet child or the inarticulate child and help them reach into themselves to discover their full potential.I also teach magic classes locally at Playformance, Sam Hughes Elementary, and privately. Currently I am in rehearsals as Enenezer Scrooge in the Arts Express production of "A Christmas Carol.
