Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Build solid foundations that are applicable according to the student's personal interest and style.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All Ballroom, Latin, Swing and Country styles taught collectively for over 20 years both socially and competitively.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
All lessons are $75/hour appointment. Each lesson includes up to 2 students at a time, for no additional charge. Additional students over 3 are $15 per person.
Lessons are available 7 days a week 11am to 10pm. We teach all styles.
We have 3 discount programs. One is for new students, a 2 week trial program of 2 lessons a week for 2 weeks at 40%off our normal lesson rate. This program samples 1-2 styles of each genre (Ballroom, Latin, Swing, Country)
The other two discounts are for bulk purchases. But 10 get 1 free and Buy 20 get 3 free.
How did you get started teaching?
I was a student for 2 years and fell in love with dancing. So I trained to become a teacher.
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages and abilities. My current students range from retirees to college students. The bulk of them are working professionals who want to improve their health and fun factor.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Ask a ton of questions. Find out reliable they are and how long their lessons are. Most importantly ask them how recent they have trained themselves. A lot of Tucson teachers did not continue their education past the minimum.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
You should think whether or not you actually want to learn how to dance safely or just learn a few tricks to show off when you go out and party.
Your teacher can help you better when you are honest with them. We can help you learn tricks, flips, and all things cool but we will never compromise our safety and the safety of others by training someone to do something they shouldn't.
We only serve students whom respect their partners and want to learn for fun, grand sport, or for love, good health and happy social life.
