I love dance and sharing my knowledge of dance with my clients. I have been teaching, training, and choreogrpahing dance since 2006 in various styles of ballet, modern, contemporary, hip hop, and so on.
my bio-
Cindy Heen has been dancing since the age of 2 and teaching dance since 2006. Currently she is a professional dancer, choreographer, educator, and a graduate from Mills College with her MFA in Dance. With her studies, she is a dance scholar. Cindy has her own dance company titled Emergence Dance in the Bay Area, where she has been in artist in residence at SAFEhouse Arts. Some of Cindy’s choreography credits include: American Dance Legend(Season 3), The Pajama Game, Legally Blonde, Grease, Joseph and The Technicolor Dreamcoat, Seussical, Aladdin Jr The Musical, Lion King Junior, & School House Rocks. She has choreographed for several studios on a competitive and artistic level in the genres of ballet, jazz, contemporary, musical theatre, and modern. She has danced for various dance companies in California and Florida including: Santa Clara Ballet, Left Coast Chamber Ensemble, Dawn Branch Works , Emotions Dance Company, and Vixen Talent Productions. She has been a guest performer with Aretuza’s Ballerina Project, Center for Contemporary Dance, and various other companies and choreographers.
I love to inspire and help my clients achieve their goals. I want help someone reach their full potential through the power of dance. It is a mind, bod connection. Therer are so many benefits on internal and external level. I look foeward to working with you!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to see what the clients goal is, then we go from there. We will start with a warm up, move into various combinations, exercises, introudce more movement voacbulary, learn a choreographic phrase, and so on.
