About

I have been continuously teaching Argentine Tango, in the San Francisco Bay Area, since 2000. I have owned and operated my own Dance studio (Tango Magdalena Dance & Art Studio) from 2007 to 2013, when we lost the lease.

Upon my teaching experience, I have created THE MAGDALENA TECHNIQUE ® and written a full curriculum of what I offer.

Sharing with others a unique way of learning Tango. Tango is an IMPROVISATION! Therefore, learning abunch of steps (put together by someone else) and figures, is useless. It actually robs the learner his / her ability to improvise.

We teach you the key to create your own steps and figures. We help you become a Tango dancer, because you ...IMPROVISE!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am also a musician by training (song writer and recording artist and producer).

I believe that only a musician can teach the Musicality in Tango, with efficiency. This is due to the very nature of the Tango music.
