What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I try and develop a rapport with the student and figure out their goals. I make sure they know how to move about the court and emphasize footwork to improve their game. I create some conditioning regimen within the framework of tennis movement and help with hand-eye coordination.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a fully certified teaching pro who has completed Under 10 years old training. I have been playing tournaments as a junior and as an adult and have played on USTA league teams. I have studied on the mental aspects of the game and hold a Pychology degree.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I have a reasonable pricing system relative to other tennis coaches where I make sure I'm providing value for the student. Often, the old epression holds true - "you get what you pay for."
How did you get started teaching?
I found that I am somewhat of a natural at, not only playing, but teaching tennis. I started with teaching friends many years ago and found my methods got them playing right away.
What types of students have you worked with?
Adults, young kids, teens.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a teacher who cares about your improvement and enjoyment of tennis.
