About
Welcome to Actors Youth Academy the first bilingual acting forum for film and TV for ages 5-25. Our students have the opportunity to practice their craft in English and Spanish. We also are parent friendly, giving parents feedback regularly, and holding parent classes to learn to maneuver the industry well.
We believe that the industry should mirror the diversity of the community, and our motto is changing the demographics of the industry, one actor at a time.
Classes cover: Monologues, Scene Study, Improv, Audition and On-Camera Techniques.
For existing students, we hold agent showcases and allow students who are ready to participate so that agents may have an opportunity to scout them.
We enjoy seeing our students glow as they take on new characters.
We especially love to show off our student successes. Follow us on Instagram actorsyouthacademy

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We offer an individualized curriculum, so every student is given a monologue and a scene and from there we assess what other materials to give based on performance and skill level.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our head teacher has a masters in performance, and years of experience in teaching for film and TV as well as for stage. She writes for Disney at the moment for a series. Our academy director studied sociology at UCLA and uses social theory to help students grasp authenticity of interactions. Together they have created a curriculum that is flexible and successful for all skill levels.
