I specialize in finding the uniqueness in every student and helping them develop that group of assets that make them stand out, Become Confident, Powerful, and Successful.
I teach voice using A mixture of the Seth Riggs method Combined with breathing techniques from the Juilliard School NYC. Plus a lot of new things that I have learned along the way that nobody else does.
I have helped students for over 20 years, both privately and in fine arts schools, achieve their goals and dreams. Six of my students have signed record deals. Several have movie deals. One of my long-time students just reached number two on the billboard pop music charts, and another appeared just last month, twice on SNL And on the CMA awards show. Just to mention a few.
I absolutely love the look in my student’s eyes When they realize they have just accomplished something they never thought was possible in their lives.
To be a part of that level of transformation is, at the same time, exhilarating and humbling for me. It helps me realize there are far greater forces at work in the student - teacher connection than just what we see on the surface. It is cosmic Magic!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Exploration is key! We explore learning styles for each individual. we talk about unique gifts and challenges.
Experience teaches more than words, however. is far more than just practice and memorization of technique. Experiencing shifts in the way he or she is approaching the task is the key teacher.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold an MA in Education, BA in Acting with a Minor in Music and Creative Writing.
That being said, My trainging and working in the entertainment industrty is what I value the most. Nothing teaches like Experience! Have worked in NYC as an Actor, Studio Singer, Backup Singer w/ Rock & Country Bands. Am a published author and songwriter. For more info: Google: Kris Ann Russell
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $65. per Hour Lesson, and if a student is having a breakthrough we continue the lesson a bit free of charge. Also, I frequently reduce the price for purchase of lesson packages.

How did you get started teaching?
After working in the industry for years, I engaged a Denver Vocal Coach At the Academy of the Arts. He has a Doctorate from Juliard. He demanded to put me through his Teacher Training Program...(free of charge) . He said I would be a great teacher because of my natural intuitive nature...and that I was the worst student he had ever dealt with!
18 years later I now use an amalgamation of his techniques as well as drawing on my acting and voice training from HB Studios NYC, and The Beverly Hills Playhouse LA and Seth Riggs singing techniques.
