About
I bring in both creative and industry experience. I worked for New Line Cinema for 10 years and as an independent producer. I have been teaching for nearly 20 years, privately. Those 20 years included teaching under Aaron Speiser, a prominent acting coach for 8 years, after I was his acting student. My perspective is unique as I have been behind the scenes, from a film studio perspective on how the industry works. I love acting as a craft and round it out with my industry experience.
I love guiding the student into their own perspective on a character. Students need to believe in themselves and realize how powerful they are as artists. I love being part of the process that sees them create their character and the world they live in.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Every person is unique. I must first meet face to face, whether in person or a video call, for us to mutually gauge if the fit is right for both of us. I am open and transparent. Your first lesson is to follow your gut, ask questions, see if the fit is right for you as well.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
See my background discussed previously. In addition, my training is in both the Meisner method as well as Theatre training from the University of San Diego.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing is determined by the needs of the student. Private teaching, private coaching for an audition, classroom setting, business of acting, coaching on set etc. What does the student want? For basic private coaching, it's $100 per hour. However, I have a deal for you. I will coach you for free as long as you bring me another paying client.
How did you get started teaching?
After watching my work for 2 years and the classroom's response to me, my last acting coach invited me to teach under him.
All types, from beginning to experienced, from amature to professionally working actors. And from all different background methods.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure they genuinely care about the craft, respect actors, are passionate and professional, and make sure they teach something versus telling you how to do a scene because that's how they would do it. In other words, ensure the teacher teaches you, not directs you.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
There are so many, but it would have to be based on the specific situation. One has to be able to read the person. Trust your instincts. Utilize the advice above.
