About
My name is Lezlie Kussin and I am an artist/art teacher. I have my BFA from California College of the Arts (CCA) in art/education and my MA in art/sculpture from CSUN. I have extensive experience teaching art to students of all ages, and in all kinds of settings. My art classes are designed to get the students to think outside the box, and to learn how to express themselves through different types of art media. I teach about texture and colour and how to problem solve, all while creating fun and exciting pieces of art. I believe that the process of creating is just as important as the finished product, and I believe that everyone can and should be able to create. I have taught most art media throughout my career, including multi media/mixed media art, painting, collage, assemblage, tie dye, textile art, soft sculpture, quilting, weaving, paper mache’, to name a few. I find that I can gear any project to any age group and try not to narrow my assignments to certain age levels. I try to come up with assignments that the students have never done before, and combine different media to create new, one of a kind pieces of art.
