About
Hi, I'm Trevor Daw.
I am a graduate from the USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance with a BFA in dance. While I was there I trained in many styles of movement for both film and stage.
I currently am dancing and acting professionally in LA and as a guest artist around the world.
I have worked with companies such as FX American Horror Story, FX Legion, EA Madden, Discover LA, Google, Corridor Digital, Wynn Hotels, Jay Shetty and many others.
I have worked with choreographers and directors such as Kenny Ortega, Tony Testa, Desmond Richardson, Alejandro Cerrudo, William Foresythe, Christopher Scott, Bill T Jones, JA collective, Jacob Jonas the Company and many more.
I aim to teach what I know both technically and emotionally about dance and it's relationship to music and the soul. I often consider dance a form of meditation and believe anybody can be greatly impacted by it in a positive, inspiring, and releasing way!

I enjoy the feeling of release and connection between my physical, mental, and emotional states while im dancing and acting. It makes me feel alive and thankful for my health.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I typically start by asking what is their goal in learning the dance style. Once the goal is established I will ask about their experience followed by a warm up to Identify their coordination and strength level. After that we will do drills/freestyle tasks in order to start pushing towards their goal and see how they enjoy it/ make sure we have a similar idea of what is needed to achieve the goal. Finally I'll end with a short combination in order to understand what their learning process is for choreography and comfort in performing a phrase.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BFA in Dance from USC
Highschool deploma from an arts highschool UNCSA with a focus on dance.

What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of various backgrounds and ages. Ive taught privates to kids and adults. Ive tought piers in school and on professional jobs. Ive choreographed and coached actors in theatre shows, dancers both in stage and film performences, and business men for a social event.
