About
I specialize in teaching english speakers to advanced speaking spanish speakers. I have studied for 2 years privately with Strommen language school while also living abroad in Mexico City and Madrid, Spain. I tutor students weekly for High School Spanish, College Spanish, and people who are interested learning spanish fluently.
I like to break down language in a way that is easy for students to understand and retain spanish clearly. Practice & patience is key.
I utilize standardized spanish grammar books while also assigning spanish tv shows & movies to engage ear training for the language.
I have studied accents and dialects in Standard IPA at California Institute of the Arts and can help students reduce their american accents when speaking spanish, while building up articulators for better pronounciation.
The best thing that I enjoy out of being a spanish tutor is seeing the progress my students make in speaking spanish. I believe it can help people open new doors and opportunities that they may not have otherwise had before. I am easy going and always looking for opportunities to help cultivate growth by giving constructive positive feedback. Anyone can speak spanish if they are willing to put in the work.
