About

I am a teacher, and the Spanish language is my native language. I love to teach, and I have also experience teaching. In Mexico, I worked as a professor at the University of Tijuana Baja California. Now, I am a part-time student at Los Angeles Mission College, and my goal is to get my certification in two fields Child Development and English. Right now, I am focused on taking my Math classes and same additional classes such as dual learner class and Literature and Motion. I expect to get my associate in 2019. I believe that teaching is a gift and a great opportunity to help others because through that experience I can help our community. I have received same awards for example in 2012, I received a Scholarship from Women Educators, and in 2014 I received a Recognition of Merit Award from Los Angeles Mission College

Teaching is my passion. I love to teach and help people. It is a great opportunity to touch the lives of the people through the process of learning. I love to think that with my work I am going to motivate others to learn and to be continuous learners. It is very excited to prepare and plan everyday classes according to each student because each student is a unique person with its particularly necessities.

Frequently asked questions

When working with a new student I find its most important to figure out what the student's academic goals are, what their biggest struggles are, and what the best way for them to work through those struggles is. It's also very important for me to figure out whether the student learns best through listening, writing or watching.

I am a spanish speaker. I can translate, speak it and write it. I have completed 30 scholar units in the studies of child development, so I am very well trained to help children in the best of ways. However, I am able to help people of any age as I was once a professor at the University of Baja California teaching methods of applying science to social studies. I believe knowledge is power and this is why I continue my studies at LAMC in English studies and Child Development. My love of teaching is infinite as is my love of learning new things every day.

I set my prices depending on how far I am required to travel. I am located in the city of Mission Hills, CA. So if you are 15-20 minutes away from me my standard rate per hour is $60USD. Now if you are 5-10 minutes away from me, the rate will be lower.

When I was 15 I began giving tutoring lessons to children in grade school. I would help them with their grammar and essays. I always liked helping others. After helping the youth, I felt more comfortable and capable of helping older people with their writing skills so I did that too in the following years. Once I realized how much I loved teaching and helping others I decided to get my major in Education and once I graduated and got my diploma I was employed by the University of Baja California to be a professor. This was a very proud moment for me.

I have worked with children with disabilities and special needs as well as children with no physical nor mental disabilities. I have also worked with adult students as much as I have young students. I am very well rounded as I have much experience in this field.

I recently attended the granada hills fair where I got to see all of the families that make up our community out enjoying the vintage car show and the art displays that were featured. The food was also spectacular.

The most important piece of advice I can give a student in this situation is that you must find a teacher in which you feel you can ask any questions. Communication between the teacher and the student is the real KEY to success here.
