About
What I aim to teach my clients is how to become the best tennis player they can be. Through specific technique training to professionally manufactured drills, I create an enviroment for any and every tennis player to thrive in. I have been playing tennis for my entire life and it is one of the most amazing sports in my opinion. Throughout my life I have played basketball, volleyball, football, and trained in Tae Kwon and Karate. All of these sports have given me a unique insight into tennis and how different movements from all sports can be utilized in this amazing game.
Throughout highschool my goal was to become a professional tennis player, therefore I put all I had into making my dream come true. I was homeschooled, I trained up to five hours per day, I went to a tennis academy, and I trained with some of the best coaches. What I enjoy about where I am now is that I am able to give all of this knowledge I have to my students and it is the most rewarding part of my work.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Lessons always begin with me assessing the level of play that a student has. After this assessment I am able to determine the best plan of action for success. For beginner players I work on technique specifically, by doing this I create a solid base. As players become more advanced, I do hitting lessons that focus mainly on strategy.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching tennis through my old coach Fernando Chavez. He let me work with some of his younger students. I then worked my way up to coaching the high school team at Marlborough high school, this was my third year. Finally, I have found a great tennis club where I have been able to expand my private lessons.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of student, ranging from very beginner to extremely advanced. In terms of age range my youngest is 3 and my oldest is in their 70's. Tennis is a game for all levels and all ages!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The advice I would give to students when looking for a tennis coach is first, the technique that is being taught. Tennis is constantly evolving and something that may have worked even three years ago may not be relevant in today's game. Secondly, the rapport you have with your coach is extremely important.
