Rick is a great instructor and is wonderful with children. Both my boys have taken drum lessons with him and really enjoyed the experience.

Rick is a gifted teacher. He is an incredibly skilled musician and has the experience to pass that skill on to others. He leverages smart tools in his instruction (sheet music, MP3s, recordings, etc.) and makes them available for students to leverage on their own at home so that they come to the next lesson prepared and ready to develop even further. My son has grown into an advanced drummer under Ricks instruction over the years and looks forward to every single lesson. I recommend Rick highly.

Rick is a great teacher. Im almost 50 and, a few year back, on a whim I bought a drum set. I had no prior experience and Im a bit rhythmically challenged. Rick, didnt judge me for my impulsive purchase, instead he taught me everything i needed to know how to play. AND he made it fun!

Rick is an awesome drum teacher. Hes patient, persistent, and always positive--about everything from scheduling, to a students progress, to things that just happen in life.

Rick is such an easy going, nice man. My Son started with him at age 5 and he was so comfortable with Rick from the get go. Rick has a way of teaching that makes it fun! He went out of his way to do all the arranging so his students(my son and many others) could play onstage at Villa Montalvo in Saratoga in front a big live audience during an art show. It was an experience that we would have never had if it wasn’t for Rick caring about his students and going over and beyond for them. He is very relaxed about scheduling and rescheduling which makes it nice for us busy people. The students that get taught by him should consider themselves lucky because he is so talented and knowledgeable.

I love learning from Rick! He is so knowledgeable and experienced as a drummer and as a teacher. He makes everything so attainable, yet challenging enough to keep you going. He is also so personable and encouraging. Highly recommend!
