I am a graduate of the Stella Adler Academy located in Hollywood, CA. I have played many lead roles in front of audiences numbering up to 2,400. I taught acting for 5 years discovering and developing a processs that creates a life and spirit to the character you are cast to play. The process triggers the instincts with which we are born. Anybody can learn the process and is irrelevant of one's personality. The key is the desire to learn. Whether one wants to become an engineer, a teacher, a carpenter or an actor, it will not happen without the desire to learn the skills.
If you are a seasoned actor, I will work with you on monologues, plays and auditioning. I will introduce you to a process separate from using sense memory and emotional recall. My process excludes the use of relaxing exercises to ease tensions before doing a scene. Exercises are necessary, however, before taking on any physical endeavor, i.e., jogging, wrestling, stage combat.
We are born with ability to love, hate, kill, care and more. Nobody teaches a baby to smile, to turn over to crawl, to cry to its desires, dance to music or to not share toys. We are born with these instincts. My process triggers these instincts to where you lose yourself and allow the life and spirit that you create for your character to take over your body, down to your sweat glands.
He was so helpful and full of information! I walked away with new skills and feeling excited and ready to move forward in my acting career.
I convey to students/actors that we are born with instincts that trigger emtions which cause physical presentation of how we are feeling.....angry, happy, sad, bored, etc. I teach students students how to trigger those instinctive emotions for the character for which they are cast.
My initial training came from completeting the two-year program at the Stella Adler Academy in Hollywood. Additional trainining from playing various lead roles in stage plays and 5 years of teaching.
My fee for private sessions is $50. The fee per student decreases as the number of students per session increases.

Ask teachers their opinions of using "sense memory," that is, recalling emotional events to evoke emotions in a scene. If the teacher believes in that technique, find another teacher. Ask the teacher about Method Acting, and compare the answer(s) to what you learned about what Method Acting is.
