About
Djordije Uskokovic begins his first year as assistant coach at Saint Mary’s in the fall of 2015. He brings a wealth of experience as both a former division I student-athlete and coaching.
Most recently, Uskokovic has served as the Director of the Junior Program at Racquet Club of Lake Bluff in Illinois. He has also spent time coaching and as an assistant at Hermann Tennis Academy, Lake Shore Country Club and Illinois State.
As a player, Uskokovic was ranked No. 1 in Serbia as a 14 and 16 year old. At 16, he ranked in the top-20 in the European Tennis Association (ETA) rankings. He played for the Serbian National Team in age groups 14s, 16, and 18s. He was a four-year letterwinner at Illinois State, playing commonly at No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles for three seasons.
Uskokovic focuses on high performance development with players to achieve high performance goals. “Regardless of the level of player, my main task is to create the best individual mindset for each player and right psychological environment for the group so that every player can get the right motivational spark in order to deepen and reach their performance potential,” said Uskokovic.
