“Create your own method. Don't depend slavishly on mine. Makeup something that will work for you! But keep breaking traditions, I beg you.” - Konstantin Stanislavski
I have a deep passion for art, especially for acting. I believe acting is a deep study of humanity, and that actors are ambassadors of humanity. The art of acting is to be able to look deep within oneself free of judgment and live with what is present.
I have a BFA in Theatre Performance from Concordia University in Montreal, and an MFA in Acting from University of Southern California. I was taught by and worked with great acting teachers and directors throughout my training. I was trained in Stanislavski, Grotowski, Chinese Opera, Biomechanics, Clown, and Stage Combat. I learned from the best, and I’ll help you to find your way in this incredible art form.
Speaking your truth is fundamental to acting, and that’s where we'll start.
I love the way Mehrnaz is able to listen and respond to my needs, which change from session to session. She consistently points out what I am doing well, while at the same time guiding me to dig within myself to discover a deeper layer of truth in my acting. She is a confident and compassionate coach, and I always recommend her to anyone pursuing acting.
