Kyle Dombroski
About
I have a passion for teaching music to students and helping them develop their own musical voice through percussion and drum set lessons. Each lesson is specifically tailored to my student's skill level and what they want to achieve musically on these instruments. Whether students are taking percussion or drum set lessons as a fun hobby or are looking to develop advanced skills and learn repertoire for professional auditions, I approach each student with a high standard and strive to make the life long learning of music an enjoyable experience.
I received a Master of Music degree from the University of California, Los Angeles Herb Alpert School of Music. I studied percussion and drum set extensively with Raynor Carroll (Principle Percussion LA Philharmonic; Retired), Theresa Dimond (Principle Percussion LA Opera), and Jamie V. Ryan (Africa West Trio, Galaxy Percussion).
I am a freelance percussionist, private instructor, and drumline coach at Venice High School. I perform often with local Los Angeles theater companies and my bands Hello Noon, Kristen Lynn & The Foxgloves, Masha Alexis, and Ryan Cassata. Orchestrally, I have played with the Los Angeles Dream Orchestra and Santa Monica Community Orchestra.
