Hey there! I’ve been teaching drums for over 10 years and love working with students of all ages and skill levels. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Jazz Drums from UCLA and currently am a professional touring and session drummer in Los Angeles. My expertise spans a diverse range of genres, including rock, funk, R&B, jazz, Afro-Cuban, pop, hip-hop and more.

I’m here to help you hit your drumming goals, whether that means diving into new techniques or just having a good time playing your favorite tunes. Besides drumming, I can also show you the ropes of recording, editing, and mixing so you can start creating your own music. For me, drumming is all about self-expression and connecting with others. I’m excited to share this passion with you and make music together!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I always try get a sense of the students goals, learning styles, and any previous knowledge on the first lesson. I then tailor a curriculum for the student using methods like sheet music, demonstrating grooves, playing along to songs etc. I want to help my students achieve their own goals on the drums!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have completed a bachelors degree in global jazz studies drumset performance. I have had over 8 years of formal music education and over 13 years of drum lessons. I am also employed as a drum instructor at guitar center where I have been teaching for 3 years.

I offer 30, 45, 60 and 90 minute lessons priced at $40, $55, $70, and $100 respectively.
