We help actors, writers, and filmmakers with the most important aspects of their training: realizing that there are great performances within everyone, which simply need polishing. We make it affordable for you to follow your dreams. For affordable prices for one hour sessions, depending on location and certain restrictions, and discounts for repeat students and longer sessions. We prefer direct messages from potential students, since we can better grasp the student's wants and needs, simply from having a one on one conversation. If the student is a minor, it is required that a parent, guardian, etc. make a phone call, where I can speak with the student and a parent or guardian. There are no exceptions; we have taken on this policy after numerous minors have lied about themselves on this site.
We help you not only with the lessons themselves, but secure you auditions, and also help realize your projects. By the time we've worked with you as an actor over a few sessions, we can have you in a short film, and you can start to build your reel.
For voice actors, we will get you practicing in a variety of roles, while also exploring, and perfecting, accents.
For writers, we will produce the right content, while also helping you improve your craft in the meantime. We understand the trouble many genre writers, especially those in the realm of action, have starting off.
Between myself, Mike, and my team, we have over 20 years of experience in acting, writing, and comedy. We've been storytellers all our lives. I also have almost 10 years of experience with video editing, have been filming since I was a kid, as well as working with numerous smaller film startups. We will get you on screen, and make sure you have something to show, and give you the experience to get you to the next steps.
Storytelling has always been my life's passion. While I grew up preferring theatre, as well as comic books, I found myself in the world of film and television, when I also expanded myself to learning more about the technology that drives it.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Every student is different, and has different goals, so feel free to text me at (562) 397-2063 to discuss your goals.
First, before we meet, I want to discuss with them their previous experience, as well as what they would like to do, and their schedule. From there, we'll work on finding out what they are looking to do, and what time they have to do it.
Then, we'll have focused classes with students, where they can all work together on scenes, as well as get used to simply performing in front of someone. Although private lessons are available, they are not normally recommended until a student has at least taken some form of theatre training or acting lessons, simply so one can practice with others first.
After taking a few courses, we'll help you not only work with us on a short film, but also find auditions in your local area. Depending on the time of year, it may be tougher to find you a local audition, but we will also be able to find opportunities in the LA area.

20-40 dollars per hour depending on location and convenience. For special sessions outside of normal hours, this price is subject to increases.
note: All cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the session, or the client is responsible for full payment. If a cancellation is made within 48 hours, Irrational International has the right to half payment, per film and television industry standard. By arranging a lesson, the client is responsible for said costs. This does not change if the lesson(s) was/were scheduled in less than 24 or 48 hours in advance, respectively.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Think about your goals, and read the next section. There's a lot of overlap going on here.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Be honest about what your goals are, and how you are going to reach those goals. If you are preparing to give a speech at a wedding in two weeks, you would train a bit differently than an actor preparing to audition for, and hopefully land, a role during pilots season.
Chadwick Boseman preparing to portray the Black Panther/T’Challa has his own routine, involving physical work, accent work, and rehearsals with cast members, while Mark Ruffalo will have a wholly different routine, to accomodate his work as Bruce Banner, as well as rehearsals wearing motion capture gear, as the Hulk.
In a way each of them are still is acting for two, yet each also needs to ensure people realize these characters are multi-faceted. And although they are doing similar work, their training regiment can, and will, be totally different.
If you’re a bit confused, think about how Michael Phelps would train for the Olympics every four years, and how Lebron James trains for a season of NBA Basketball. Both of them are master athletes, and they will have some overlapping, but Michael needs to train strenuously over a shorter period before the event, as well as regular training in-between, while Lebron needs to be sure he’s building up endurance, while at a constant pace.
Also it’s always more than okay to realize you may want to change the direction you are heading, and it’s always important to try new things, to find your callings, because they can change.
