About
I have been dancing all my life and have trained in various styles like hip-hop, flamenco, social dance and ballroom dance. Dancing is what makes me come alive and being able to share even a portion of that feeling with others makes me extremely grateful. I am great at meeting you where you are and being your number one fan all the way through your dance journey! I whole heartedly believe anyone can learn how to dance so if you think you can’t let me be the one to prove you wrong!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I offer a 30 minute trial lesson to get a feel for how I teach and so that I can also get an understanding of what you want out of your dancing. From there I will show you the packages of lessons I have to offer to new students and we figure out the best one for your personal goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold ballroom dance certifications in American Rhythm and American Smooth dances. I have also studied Flamenco in Spain and hold a 500 hour Yoga Teacher Training certificate, Restorative yoga, and Pre-natal Yoga. I love any and all movement and I am constantly looking to improve not only my own personal dancing but my teaching as well.
How did you get started teaching?
I started dancing ballet and tap when I was 4 years old and quickly realized I loved hip hop more. I have been teaching my brother and friends to dance hip hop and latin dances since I can remember. I've lived in Los Angeles and trained in the popular studios out there. I've danced and choreographed for a few local artists in Los Angeles and the Bay area. I lived in Spain for a year to sudy Flamenco because that is my one true love! I've always been involved in some type of dance group ranging from hip hop to samba and eventually fell into partner dancing. Dancing with a partner is truly magical and helps you learn so much about yourself and your relationship with other people. I really do believe everyone should try partner dancing at least once in their life. I can truly say that it is a journey one should avoid missing.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of students. Here in the Bay area I've worked with many engineers, ceo's, managers, A-type personalities, shy introverts, fun-loving people, work-out enthusiasts, married couples, single people, teenagers, kids, father-daughter duos, mother-son combos, empty nesters, construction workers, retirees, and people with dementia. Dance is for everyone!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Reflect on what it is you'd really like to get out of learning how to dance. Keep the answer in mind so that you can share that with your instructor. It's important that the teacher knows why you're there so that they can make sure that your experience is tailored to reach those goals of yours. Dancing should be fun and exciting and you want to make sure that your experience is a beautiful, accepting, and a growth oriented type of journey.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Again, just reflect on what it is you really want to get out of your dancing. How do you want to feel in your body as you move, glide, and spin around the floor?
