What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
40+ years of experience as a professional drummer and percussionist, touring, recording and performing around the globe.
College music major graduate with a teaching credential in percussive studies.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I base my pricing on the level of each student. Beginner usually at $40, intermediate at $50, advanced: $60.
I also do master classes (with several students or a drum circle group. Those rates vary as well, depending on the number of participants.
How did you get started teaching?
Right out of college I have always had the desire to teach, but now after all the life experience I want to give back and pass on what I've learned.
I've had many opportunities to study privately with several notable drummers myself; Buddy Rich, Henry Belson (Louie's brother), David Garibaldi (of Tower of Power) and Joe Porcaro.
