About
My vocation has always been teaching. I currently reside in Ireland and it would be a pleasure for me to teach my native language to those who are interested in learning Spanish.
I have completed a university teaching career in Spain (Cordoba University) and I know how to establish guidelines for the learning of new skills in people of all ages. As a teacher, I have the empathy to put myself in the other person's shoes when acquiring new knowledge

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Above all, I focus on the student developing the ability to listen and speak. The majority of class time is spent practicing these two skills. At the end of each class, I will send a series of grammar exercises (the student will send them to me by email) that get closer to the student's objective. I will send the results to the student by mail when they have been corrected and depending on these results, a class will be prepared to improve the aspects where the student needs the most.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have completed the career for a teacher at the University of Córdoba

How did you get started teaching?
I started studying my career as a teacher and since then I have participated in several volunteer workshops to teach Spanish to people in poverty who came from another country.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have always worked with adults, but I am prepared to teach Spanish to children
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The last event where I take advantage of is about teaching children with Downs syndrome by visual cards for the Córdoba Down association
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
always try to hire a native teacher with training to teach. It is also very important to find a person who has the accent of the place you want to go, since Spanish changes a lot from one place to another.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
First, it would be good to know why you want to learn a language: for work, to travel... You also have to be clear about what level you want to reach. And finally, it is important to know how much time you can dedicate to it.
This is important because if you are clear about these three points, you will be able to have a clearer learning path defined and your motivation will be greater, so it will be easier to maintain your motivation to learn.
