With my 35+ years of experience in this sport, I have been able to help beginners to advanced competitors achieve their goals, from new players just learning the game to seasoned players discovering new approaches to play. Past and current students range from USTA ntrp 2.5 to 5.0, high school teams to college. Taught Tennis for over 12 years with students ranging from 8 to 70+ years old. As a coach, I focus on helping each student developing and achieving his/her maximum potential. Since I have a strong science background, my teaching methods/styles is generally unlike traditional/typical cookie cutter methods taught in clubs. I believe each player needs to develop strong fundamentals along with skills that fits his/her own physical capability and personality. Learning correctly will rid of years of headache and frustration from poor techniques, which could also lead to joint discomfort and/or injuries. If you are a junior/adult tournament competitor or USTA league player, developing strong/sound physical skills and tennis "IQ" is essential to achieving positive results. As tennis instructor, I enjoy the opportunity to open up students' minds and understanding how they could realize their potentials. Seeing students with inquistive mindset progress through learning and hard work with passion is very rewarding. At the same time, challenges me to constantly learn and upgrade my knowlegde and skills in this sport.
