I learnt how to swim as a teen and could swim from one end of the pool to the other, but I had always known that I wasn’t swimming “properly” in the sense that I wasn’t using the proper forms and technique, so I have decided to invest in myself on this lifelong skill this summer. During my search for a swimming coach, I was particularly looking for someone who is experienced in teaching adults, and whose references and resume could show that they are skilled and professional swimmers themselves, and someone who could help me improve my efficiency and performance in water.

After my first 45-minute lesson at my community pool with Lisa, I could immediately tell she is exactly, if not more than what I have been looking for in a swimming coach. During our first lesson, she was able to articulate clearly my “bad” swimming habits and forms, and provided great tips and practice plans on how I could improve. I have had weekly lessons with Lisa for almost a month now and I am really happy with how much I have learnt and progressed so far. The personal attention, patience, great communication and expertise of Lisa has made this a great experience. She also recorded my swim during lessons and we would review them together as part of the lesson, which has been really helpful!
