I began dance classes at the age of 3 at Mission Dance studio, and continued classes soon after at Yoko's Dance and Performing Arts Academy and at UC Irvine. I have trained in a variety of dance styles, and have the longest experience in ballet and jazz dance with 20+ years of experience. At Yoko's Dance, I competed in regional and national competitions for ballet, jazz, rap, and lyrical, with groups, duets, and solo routines, frequently winning top awards in group routines.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology at UC Irvine in 2010, and took ballet and jazz classes in the dance department there. Since then, I have taken dance lessons at various studios in the Bay Area.
I teach ballet, jazz, lyrical, and basic essentials of tap dance. I have approximately one year of experience teaching beginning ballet and jazz to children up to age 13, and combination ballet and tap classes to ages 3 to 4. I have taught for the City of Fremont dance program and also separately for students of a local hula school.
I offer private and group lessons for combination ballet/ tap toddler classes, beginning to intermediate ballet for any age, and beginning to intermediate jazz for any age.
I enjoy seeing students discover the joy of dancing. I like helping them improve their technique and skills, and seeing them form a solid foundation that will allow them to keep progressing. I also enjoy seeing people who are new to dance, become dancers.
