I'm a Multi Award 🥇 Concert Drummer! I started playing Drums at the age of 12 Studying at Grants Music conservatory under Clarence Johnson jazz drummer and Ralph Johnson of earth wind and fire 🔥 Studied at LACC Music Conservatory under Dave Smith and Doc Simpson concert Orchestra! A great mentor:Darryl Footz Woolfolk!🥁💯 I'll give the beginning young students great techniques, Reading exercises that will give them balance, mobility, confidence, strength, Ear training and other vital drumming fundamentals that will enable you to play with any musical genre.🥁🙏🏾🎼🎶💯

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My typical process for working with beginning students is:
1) Get to know the students dreams That they want to accomplish
2)Find out what music genre they want to play if not multiple styles
3) Start them with fundamental basic rhythm notations and note values in the category of music theory/ Reading and syncopation
4) Work on Brain/ limb independence for Coordination and different styles
5)The importance of discipline and consistency

How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching when kids in the neighborhood would hear me play at home and they Would come to my door asking me can I teach them drumming

Be in it because you love love love being a creative musical talent and know that you can do anything you put your mind into!

Don't think too hard, speak from the heart and always speak the truth!
