My name is Roberto Luconi. I was born and raised in San José, Costa Rica, and I came to the United States four years ago to play college tennis. I recently graduated from Azusa Pacific University (nation's top 10 NCAA Division II school) with a B.A. in Business Management and served as the team's captain on my last semester. I have also coached beginner and intermediate players of all ages in Costa Rica as well as several collegiate dual matches. Regarding my playing history, I have played tournaments in over 10 countries, obtained a junior international ranking, and reached a ranking of #8 in Costa Rica.
Tennis is my passion. I want to transmit that passion so that my students can feel that love for the sport. No matter your age or background, tennis is made for everyone, and that is what is so fun about it.
Robbie is an excellent tennis coach. I only started playing this past month and he has already taught me the basic fundamentals on how to hit forehands and backhands. He points out things you are doing well as well as things you can improve on. He has also helped me a lot with the proper footwork to get to each ball, and I think I’m really starting to get the hang of playing. Robbie is so kind with the way he coaches and makes it fun while you have a good workout. I will definitely be going to his lessons every week.
