About
I am a USPTA Certified Tennis Instructor with 10 years+ coaching experience and 30 years playing. I work with all skill and age levels. If tennis is something you are interested in, I can help you acheive your goals, no matter what they may be. From trying out something new, to improving on skills you already possess. Wherever you are weak, we will build that up to an eventual strength. My goal, foremost, is that you enjoy what you are doing. If your not, what's the point right? Whatever it is you are looking for, whether it be Private lessons, group lessons, social hitting, match play etc., I can help you get to where you want to go. Just like everthing else, it takes time. Try and be patient and have fun with it more importantly. I will guide you to your goals and along the way you will also learn a lot more than you probably anticipated. Don't be shy, there is no judgement. Just the will to succeed and achieving the goals you set for youself, which we will probably surpass after a few months of dedication. And then it just gets better from there. I have worked for numerous tennis clubs along the east coast and now here in California. I reside in Menifee, CA at the moment where I teach at 3 courts next to my home. If tennis is something you have thought about doing, I encourage you to atleast try it out and see what you think. The day I picked up a tennis racquet at the age of 7, I couldn't put it back down. And with a experienced coach by your side, you just might find yourself a healthy addiction. Oh and if it's a workout that you are looking to get, I've got plenty drills we can do to get that heart pumping. It will be a combination of footwork training, endurance, and strength training as well. Normally, we will get to hitting some balls after quick cardio warmup and a couple workout stations on the court
The most enjoyment I get out of the work WE do is watching your game advance to higher levels. I also love working with children

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Depends on the age first. Overall though, I'll walk them through all the different types of shots they will be practicing, defining rules of play, boundries etc. Coordination will take a little getting used to, but some are naturally more coordinated than others. So it kind of varies in that respect. Each new student will need to develop muscle memory, which can take a couple months more or less, so be patient. Im critical on footwork and form. Strategy will come later with those who are little more advanced. I will work with you at your level and build you up more and more until I am confident in what you have retained. Then we will get into more advanced drills to put what you've learned to the test. This is not a quick fix, nor is it cheap. So try and dedicate yourself and give yourself a chance. If you are unhappy with the lesson you receive from me, please by all means let me know (I don't think I've ever had that problem) and I'll see what we can do to make it better.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

How did you get started teaching?
Right out of high school I started teaching for the coaches who had taught me how to play in Greenwich, CT. What I have learned from all my coaches, I am truly grateful for and I would love more than anything to pay it forward to those who are seriously interested in learning.
What types of students have you worked with?
All types, ages, skill levels, students with disabilities.
I've even started with children as young as 3 years old, however attention span is usually all over the place
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Watching a couple of my dedicated students, who try and play with me multiple times a week, improving their game at a relatively decent pace. With High School Tennis Team tryouts coming up, I have confidence they will do great and get even better. I love my current clients. They are family to me. So come join the family at Integrated Tennis and let's get to know each other.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure they are Certified. There are lots of coaches out there that aren't coaches and will just try and teach what they think they know. Bottom line, you should be looking for someone with lots of playing and teaching experience with the credentials to back him/her up. Then, maybe go take a look at how he or she teaches and see if they may be a good fit for you. I'll tell you this, a good coach will want to work on what you are most weak at. So if you get a coach who keeps giving you your favorite shot that you keep hitting so well, and not moving to an area that needs more work, then that person is just a salesman on the court (In my humble opinion)
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
That's a tough question to answer. Every person's needs may be different. That would have to be a face to face conversation or more info is needed
