I offer violin and vocal lessons to all levels, especially begining students. I graduated from Cal State Long Beach with a Bachlors in Music-violin performace. I also epecialize in Mariachi music. Tambien hablo Espanol.
I enjoy seeing my students achive their goals. The happyness it brings them to learn to play the violin and to sing. I enjoy hearing the progress and thinking of ways to make students better.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Having them play if they have expirience. Asking them what their goals are. Helping them get there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachlors in Music-violin performace from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music in California State University-Long Beach. I'm also a grad student getting my Single Subect Credentials in Music.

How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching from when I volunteered in High School for a children's music summer program. From there I worked in several after school programs. Then I worked as the violin consultant for the Sweetwater Union High School Distict. I currently teach private lessons and group lessons for a home schooling company.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students as young as 4 years old and the eldest has been 22 years old. I have worked with students with gifted music abilities as well as students with learning disabilities and ELL students.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A recent event that I am found of is when I taught a new student her first lesson and after the lesson her mom sent me a picture of her smiling on the floor because she was so happy!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would advise you do look into their expirience and personality. Find someone that will fit you and has the knowlege of how to help you achive your musical goals.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
How fexible are you with rescheduling lessons?
