Our drum studio offers students a fully immersive, hands-on experience with a live "Hybrid" Drumset fully intergrated with Ableton Live software. In today's hi tech music environment, all musicians should have a thorough knowledge of the tools and applications available today. These tools are assisting music productions both in the recording studio and performance stages. All lessons are professionally recorded Video/Audio and provided to student.
I am a professional drummer with over 50 years of experience. I feel I was put here to do this. Having performed with artists across numerous genres including rock, pop, jazz and at times, a combination of all. Lesson packages span from early beginner drum set basics which include music appreciation, proper technique, sticking rudiments for example. Our tech lessons include live intergration practices including midi 101, sound modules, programming, remote launching, backing track sync and much more.
i look forward to passing along my experience and knowledge to the coming generations of music makers and players.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Our lesson sessions would build from the basics. I first evaluate the student running them through simple patterns. This gives me a good idea of how I will approach this students curriculum. I don't believe in cookie-cutter approach lessons. I also professionally record all lessons in the studio which helps students gauge progress. And share it!!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have studied with professional drum teachers over the years working on particular techniques. My drumming has been featured on albums and I have performed/toured periodically over the last 30 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I offer an introductory rate for beginners of $50 for a 1 hour evaluation lesson.
Drum lesson rate is $65 for 45 minute lesson.
Ableton Live/Audio Production lessons start from $75/hr.
How did you get started teaching?
I have been teaching drums and mentoring young music artists informally over many years. I have recently relocated to the new studio recently and I'm actively working to fill some student spots.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have taught youth in music workshop environments as well as mentoring promising young artists.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would advise one to seek a teacher who is interested in what you, the student would like to accomplish.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I believe all questions are valid.
