What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first identify their strengths and weaknesess and come up with a lesson plan for them. I would do that by giving them a one page scene and doing a simple cold read.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
17 years in the industry as an Actor, Singer, Director, and Cinematographer.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
50 per hour for indivdual classes or sessions such as auditon prep.
or 200 a month for a total of 4 two hour sessions.
How did you get started teaching?
I started by coaching actor friends that needed help breaking down scenes and several of them suggested that I took coaching seriously. Eventually, I began the go to guy among peers.
What types of students have you worked with?
Ive worked with people of all ages and experience levels. I feel comfortable with anybody including kids.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
When I got training for acting, my parents wasted their money on classes that were crowded with other kids. The time in class actually devoted to me made it very difficult for me to improve rapidly. It wasn't untill they decided to hire one on one coaching that I started booking. I honestly feel that a group class is only benificial later in your acting career as maitenence and exploration.
