About

My lessons are catered to improvement. Whether you're a curious beginner wanting to try something new as well as a fun workout or a seasoned veteran who wants to continue being conditioned for you're next gig. There's something for everyone!

It so rewarding to witness improvement. I think the best thing about what I do is seeing students get better at something that they have been working on for a long time. Success is the best type of motivation to want to delve into even more challenges to embark on. I just like being a part of that process.

These lessons helped with my dancing and the way that I listen to music. The instructor took his time and explained everything in a clear way for me to understand.

Frequently asked questions

I think formal introductions are appropriate. It benefits me more if I know a little bit about my students and the reasons why they decided to inquire about said services. It gives me something to work with and helps me develop a personalized lesson plan for the student. It also helps build a trusting, no judgement enviroment and lets them know I'm here for them and whatever they need as far as dance.

I started dancing in college (Allan Hancock College, Santa Maria) in 2009. I took a hip hop class for fun and from then on its just been class after class after class. I went on to train in ballet, jazz, and modern. Started doing shows for the college and Disneyland: and then moved on to doing dance company (Core Dance, San Luis Obispo) which was about the same time I started teaching. Ive taught at several dance studios up and down the Central Coast;  from babies to pre-professionals (jazz, hip hop, beginning ballet) . I currently am a dance teacher for Los Angeles Academy of Arts and Enterprise, International Dance Academy (Hollywood), and Alta Loma Dance Academy (Upland)

Private lessons - 40/hr

Group lessons - 60/hr (2+)

I was a daycare teacher about the same time that I'd started dancing. I loved both jobs but I wanted to find a way to combine them because I was doing a lot of traveling. There was a lady that I knew through connections that was opening a studio, so I had a talk with her and she gave me the opportunity to teach my first class.

I've worked with students from the ages of 3 all the way to adults. My students are studio kids (kids who are trained in a dance studio enviroment) recreational students, people who just want to stay in shape, professional dancers, etc..

As much as I love the process of teaching, I'm also very fond of the finished product. I recently just finished choregraphing for a spring dance concert at a college I used to attend. I'm always amazed at the dedication and work ethic of the dancers involved. It makes my job that much more enjoyable when the goal is reached and it was well worth the work.

Look for teachers who are all about you, their goal is to make sure you reach your goal. Alot of teachers are more about "showing" rather than teaching. Showing doesn't help a student learn, teaching does. Patience is also important, dancing and learning choreography isn't as easy for everybody and it takes time.

What's my goal?
