Batty Drum Lessons
About
NOTE: DUE TO COVID-19 CONCERNS, DISCORD, ZOOM, SKYPE LESSONS ONLY UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
Originally self-taught starter, I have also been passionate about music. I started playing piano in early childhood but I did not have a passion for piano exactly, however, it did teach me exceptional rhythm. I have been playing percussion/drumset now for 15+ years and I have loved every second of it. It gives me great pleasure and joy to teach others the gift of music and percussion. I can help students, young or old, new or somewhat experience connect (or re-connect) with drumming in a technical and ryhthmic way. Students will learn how to read sheet music, understand sheet music, and progressively learn new techniques to drumming.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
It is very valuable in the beginning to understand what the new student already knows and/or their comfortability. Students who are brand new to drumming completely are asked to discuss where they are at with rhythm, reading, playing, etc. Content is then created from there. NOTE: As of right now, I am only teaching beginning-advanced snare drum lessons for an ensemble/orchestral setting. No drumset lessons are being taught at the moment. I fully intend to branch off and continue teaching into drumset adding 5pc -8pc lessons. I do however, can arrange drumset lessons, more details can be discussed if discussed privately.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been around and involved with music my entire life. I was first chair Bass in high school choir. Played percussion/drumset for many years for church youth group and main services. I have played as a subsititude for many local bands for gigs/concerts. I personally have played percussion instruments for 15+ years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing is as follows:
$25 dollars/half hour lesson once or twice a week.
Lessons/Schedule can be set before lessons start.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Well, communication is always key and part of being unsure of questions or thoughts is feeling like you can't ask or you dont know how. All questions are important to ask regarding lessons and my students should always feel free to ask anything.
