Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Giving my 2 year old grandson his first babolat baby racket. My son and daughter keeping tennis in their lives, makes me so proud and happy. I get phone calls and texts thanking me for being their teacher, sometimes from students long ago. I will say I take great personal pride in my students and my custom racket service. I care and it shows.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for a proven track record, experience means a great deal. The teacher must be patient and dedicated. Have a reputation as a great motivator and role model. A gentle instructor with great communication skills.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Do they really want to learn the greatest sport on earth? Can they devote the time and energy to learn, from a professional. Tennis is an expensive sport, proper training, equipment like tennis balls, rackets, stringing, clothing, and transport, I know this as my family spent a fortune for my development for me to become the professional I am today. I say this to be honest and be upfront. If you chose to start your training, I promise you, you will be glad you did. Don't be fearful to begin, you will be surprised how quickly you will learn.
