About

VOTED BEST OF 2018 by Lessons.com! Hi I am the Tennis Pro at the Langham Huntington Hotel and Director of Tennis for the City of Azusa. I would be honored if you would allow me to join you on a quest for tennis success. No matter if you are an adult beginner to 5.0 level player, I can help you see quick results in your game and scoreline. Allow me to share with you some of the knowledge I have learned over the years of becoming a better player. I am a USTA Instructor and the SoCal representative for Recreation Tennis. I am passionate about helping others fall in love with the game and improve to a satisfying level as well as work on fitness, nutrition, and mental toughness.

As the Director of Tennis for the City of Azusa I already have a Federal Dept of Justice Background Check in place to teach adults and children. You can contact me aces at lovesetmatch dot net

Teaching others is something I feel is an honor and I don't take it for granted that someone trusts me enough to allow me to speak into their game. I look forward to sharing from my many hours of practice, match play and study of the game. I take great pride in seeing you improve as much as I want to improve my own game!

I also have a tennis podcast called "TennisPAL Chronicles" that you might want to check out to get to know me better as well as my lessons page on my tennis blog lovesetmatch dot net. Yes Tennis is my passion!

    Frequently asked questions

First I like to assess the physical ability of the student by asking a few questions about health, past exercise habits, and tennis history.  Second we have fun playing some light short court drills to understand racquet control and level of skill and experience.  Third, assess what areas need improvement and which strokes or aspect of the game would be most beneficial to focus on.

I am the director of Tennis for the City of Monterey Park and I was trained by the United States Tennis Association to lead the RecTennis program in Southern California.

I have worked with many types and levels of students from Beginners to 5.0 players.  From Ages 6 - 90 years old.  I enjoy sharing the passion for tennis at any age and believe everyone can improve their game and improve their enjoyment of the game.

I recently hosted a USTA TeamUP tennis tournament and had people from all over Southern California join us for the one day event.  It was a great way to get to know even more tennis players and we had a lot of fun giving away prizes from our sponsors like Babolat, YTEX, Fila, NIKE, Tennis Trunk and more

Yep, teaching is a relationship so find someone you click with and don't mind spending time with.  I would be happy to have a potential student come and observe one of my other lessons as a bystander to see my coaching style.

What level of improvement do I want to see?  What level of physical fitness do I want to achieve?  How often am I able to practice?
