About
Popping is an umbrella term for a dance created in the West Coast and most popularized by pop legend Michael Jackson. It is most akin to mixed martial arts, with many styles under its “category” which include but are not limited to: Robotting, Strutting, Oakland Boogaloo, EB Boogaloo, Waving, Tutting, and Animation. I have been performing and competing professionally in popping for 8 years and have learned under the likes of Pikkalo [UCSD’s Poptikz] and Dnoi [Soulbotics Crew]. I have been teaching beginning and intermediate popping since 2015. I teach mainly Waving, Popping, and EB Boogaloo as well as freestyle fundamentals. If you would love to learn authentic West Coast freestyle dance, this is the class for you!
