I get you right in by having an immediate understanding of where you are and where you'd like to take your playing. The objectives: Fun and advancement.
I've been playing the drums 30+ years, and have played countless venues and events ranging from weddings to birthdays, to corporate events. I play high-scale hotels, ships, and city-funded live music events.
I lead my own jazz quartet: Consensual Bop.
Showing what I know.
Excellent focus on technique! Really helped me with all my weaknesses as a drummer.
Andre is an ideal teacher. Patient, observant, knowledgeable, open. I can't find a single criticism to share. I studied with Andre after having played already for 15 years, completely self-taught. I was worried because of this unique background, but Andre understood and zeroed in on an exact regimen that addressed my bad habits and propelled my playing forward.
André Custodio is an excellent drum instructor that I would highly recommend to anyone new to drums or looking to improve their skills. He is patient, knowledgeable, and makes learning an enjoyable experience. Each lesson you review the homework you went away with from the previous lesson, and he gives you honest but constructive criticism. You usually build on this homework with additional technique lessons, and leave feeling like you've made actual progress which is very encouraging. He puts a lot of thought into his curriculum and is excellent with time management. Again, he is an exceptional choice if you are looking for a drum instructor!
I first determine what you know by discussion and demonstration. From there, we create a path towards reachable goals.
Many years of private training and college-level education in music. I've been working in the field for approximately 30+ years.
$40 for a 45min lesson. Lessons are once and by arrangement.
I got started by a demand from a student who saw me perform at a local venue.
