Hola! I studied academic and literary Spanish at Indiana University, but really learned how to speak the language during extended travels in Spain, Mexico, Central and South America since 1974.
I understand the nuances of the Spanish tongue (and written language) by introducing simple methods and techniques to help you become immediately comfortable and conversant, or I can help you brush up on rusty skills.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, introductions. I then ask if he or she has any experience or background with the language. I also want to know what his or her intention is to learn the language - business, travel, pleasure, curiosity, then tailor lessons around that.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Anthropology and minor in Spanish from Indiana University in Bloomington. I have spent over 4 years traveling and living in Latin America and Spain.
