Bob, You saved me! Just hit 100 perfect balls on the range. Huge thank you. Matt

Bob, While I still have a lot of work to do, the lessons are really helping! I shot a 76 at Oakmont today. 14 pars (13 in regulation) and 4 bogeys for a career best. My focus was on the wrist motion we discussed. The result was a flatter backswing and vastly improved contact with my irons. Bob, you are the best!!! -Matt

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Before you can go anywhere you must first have a sound knowledge of where you are today. With respect to playing better golf this means completing a comprehensive game, swing and physical assessment evaluation. I cover several different areas of concentrations. I discuss with the student everything from contact information, goals, strengths, weaknesses, practice habits, equipment, playing frequency, physical limitations and so on. This gives me and the student a better understanding of their current game, their goals and a direction to head in for our lessons.

Taking the results from your assessments and your interview, your coach will design and recommend a detailed personal strategy to improve your game. It will clearly outline the strengths of your game as well as the opportunities for improvement. It will also contain the plan that you and your coach will implement in order for you to reach your playing goals

How did you get started teaching?

Golf has been my life. Teaching was a natural progression from my days as a Playing Professional. I love helping people get better.

What types of students have you worked with?

Bob developed his system & training process based on what the game’s greatest players in the world have in common to keep their game at the highest level.

His goal is for every player, at any age and skill level, or with any physical handicap, to be able to enjoy and reap the rewards of the game.

  1. The ability to hit the ground in the same place every time and forward of the ball to insure clean contact.
  2. The ability to create enough power or distance to enjoy the game.
  3. The ability to match the clubface to the swing path to control the curvature of the ball to keep it in play.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

I would first ask him to explain the ball flight laws? What expertise does he/she have in bio-mechanics? I would suggest visiting my website or call with any questions 310.990.4653

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Golf is a difficult game, it's hard. I think many will shop price and unfortunately, that's the worst thing you can do for Golf. You want to hire someone with a proven record of getting people better.
