What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I teach them dance frame, how to hold their partner, how to move from their core and how to transfer weight. I explain and demonstrate how to walk forward and back and side to side, which is the basis for the first smooth dance which is Foxtrot. Then we lighten up and learn a little Swing and have fun rocking out or maybe spice we things up with Salsa. Each student is unique in their personality, style and learning process, so I tailor the lessons to the specific needs of the student, rather that using a "cookie-cutter" technique.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
40 years of training and teaching expereince from Arthur Murray, The Renaissance, Hinton Pick, Dance Arts, Stars Ballroom and John Ross.
