Both my daughters have taken Irish dance lessons with the McBride School for 8 to 10 years. The McBride family is wonderful to their students, whether they dance recreationally or competitively. Fun, friendship, fitness, music, and ethnic culture --- great experience for kids & adults alike!

I have danced with Annie off and on for years now. I have to admit more off than on, but you wont find a nicer teacher and great person. I am an adult dancer and the only adult classes are wonderful.

Our brand new beginner dancers will learn the four light shoe dances first:  reel, light jig, slip jig and single jig.  Once they have mastered these dances to music, they will be promoted to the advanced beginner classes where they begin to learn the hard shoe dances:  hornpipe, hard jig and set dance.

As dancers gain experience, they learn harder and more complicated steps, and progress throught the different levels of beginner, advance beginner, novice, prizewinner and championship.  The McBride school offers many opportunites to perform and compete throughout the year.

The McBride School has classes in Dublin, Oakland, Lafayette, San Ramon, San Rafael, Vallejo, and coming this winter to Tracy and Livermore, California.
