Most Voice Coaches and Piano Teachers only have experience teaching, Michael has almost a decade of professional performing experience that he brings to his students. Relying on techniques that are currently being used in the music and theatre industries, Michael makes sure every student understand the important fundamentals and techniques to really understand vocal and piano performance.
I enjoy watching my students have that a ha moment in a session. It is also amazing watching their progress every session. Each lesson I do is recorded and I love going back and watching how my students performed on their first lesson compared to where they are now. Seeing their overall growth is incredible!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I cater the lessons towards the clients strengths and ability. Their is no one size fits all methods to working with new talent and we will go at a pace that is comfortable for the individual. Regardless of the experience and age level, I create a safe and encouraging environemnt ready to dive into creating music with theory, musicality and technique.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from California State University Fullerton. I have worked professionally for Tokyo Disney, Universal Studios Singapore, Transcendence Theatre Company, East West Players, Holland America Line, Princess Cruises, a Broadway Style National Tour and several recurring roles on the Lifetime Netwok.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I always offer a $5-10 discount for the first lesson to make sure it is a good fit for the client.
My Rates:
$35 for a Half Hour Session
$55 for an 45 minutes
$70 for an hour.
Every Lesson is recorded so students can practice via MP3 or video in between sessions. I also provide a 10% discount taken of the single class rate for any monthly packages prepaid in advance.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching during the Covid Pandemic. I have been consistently working professionally for over 7 years in the Performing Arts Industry and because of a pause of all live work, I started working with students and teaching what I have learned performing around the world. I have really enjoyed it.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with Professionals in LA working on their song writing to clients as young as 5 years old that have just started singing or playing the piano. I work with all ages and levels.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Watching my students have that A HA moment when I give an adjustment during a lessson. That self discovery that they accomplish on their own is priceless!
