Solender Tennis

About

I teach a no nonsense style of tennis. For the beginner a firm foundation and for the intermediate and advanced I can teach the little things that make you win your matches. Strategy, position, placement and gamesmanship. I have been nationally ranked over a dozen times in the top 15 and 4 times in the top 10. I especially enjoy teaching doubles which is one of my specialties. I have played many international double tournaments with quite a lot of success.

I especially enjoy working with people who already know how to basically play tennis but want to know how to win their matches with just a few corrections of position and strategy.

When I came to Steven I was a 3.5 player after 4 lessons I have raised my rating to 4.0 its crazy. I practice the same way but I can correct my mistakes now more easily and I double game has really improved as Im not missing so many shots because Im in the right place to get them. Before they would put a lot more balls away on me since I wasnt in the right place to get them back but now I am and im getting a lot more back. Hes improved my game.

I felt he cared about me learning he spent more that the allotted time of my lesson as I didnt a point he wanted me to do. I have been able to call him several times and ask him questions and he took the time to answer them and one was a almost 30 min. I have had 4 lessons with him and I really think I have improved.

I have had 4 lessons from Steven and I like the improvement that I see in my game. He is teaching my son and I like the way he is teaching him and motivating him to get better. Now I have had enough lessons to see that I am improving. In fact someone asked me how come Im playing better. I dont think Im playing that much better BUT Steven has been showing me where I should be be playing in my tennis game which has made my games much more competitive and enjoyable.

I took several lessons from him and I really liked to way he teaches. I have taken lessons from about 5 other teachers and there is something that is different in the way he goes about making me think about what Im doing so when i do it I really dont think about it, I just do it. I guess I he makes think about it before I do it and then it works out. Im a 3.5 player and I think he has raised my game just by how he has taught me to approach playing doubles, at least Im winning more matches.

I only play singles and Im 4.0 player, but Steven has helped now beat a lot of player who I use to loose to. Now they think Im a better player but really Im the same player but I know how to better play singles. Steven has shown me a lot of little tricks and strategies to win more matches. I think that Im winning 25% more matches after two weeks with Steven. Thank you Steven.

I liked the way he taught my son. He got him to really like tennis, now hes out there everyday practicing. I finally found a sport that he likes to do and is motivated to do. Stephen seemed to put a fire inside of him to make him want to play tennis. Not only is he learning tennis but is now self motivated to practice hard to do when when your only 10.
