GSM Tennis (Game Set Match Tennis)

Lawrence Hampton, founder of GSM Tennis has been teaching tennis since 1992. He started with the San Bernardino Patrons Association Tennis Buddies program where he coached hundreds of students for 18 years. He also served on the Tennis Patrons Board of Directors for 10 years serving as president for five years.

Hampton is presently the Head Tennis Coach at Cajon High School where he has just completed his 13 year (13 seasons with the girls and 11 seasons with the boys). During that time his teams have won 12 league titles, have qualified for post season play in 12 of the 13 years. Cajon teams have played in 11 round of 16 CIF matches , four CIF quarter final matches and one CIF semi-final match. A number of Cajon players have gone on to play collegiate tennis.

Hampton also served as assistant women’s tennis coach at Cal State University at San Bernardino during the 2010 season. He was selected as the 2010 Coach of the Year in 2010. Hampton is a member of the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and is registered with the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR), Member Number 44103, The PTR is a certifying body for professional tennis coaches.
