Enakshi Vyas has 11 years of professional dance training in Jazz, Tap, and Kathak from Just Dance Academy and Chhandam School of Kathak. As part of her training, she performed with the Just Dance Academy Competitive Team and was a member of the Chitresh Das Youth Company.
In 2007, she left both institutions to further her dance studies both academically and recreationally. Her course work included exposure to a variety of other styles, including Bharata Natyam, West African Folk, Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Indian Folk styles, and Bollywood Dance.
Enakshi has been a professional choreographer for the past 10 years. She brings a dynamic, fun spirit to all her classes, camps, and workshops. Her choreography and solo performances collected top scores, earning high placing Platinum and Gold awards from 2004-2007. Her choreography for the Dance Attack Bollywood Team during the 2012-2013 season consistently received gold awards and placements in their category.
Currently, she directs Elite Naach Academy and teaches a variety of workshops, camps, and classes throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Enakshi loves encouraging dancers to study a variety of styles, as she believes a dancer's versatility is one of his/her most important tools. As the director of ENA and as a dance instructor, she strives to make a difference not only in the talent and technique of her students, but in the confidence and the ability of her students to shine both on and off stage.
When she's not dancing, she can be found with her head in a fantasy or mystery novel, debating the finer points of Harry Potter, or drinking her fifth cup of coffee for the day.
